About Delena Hurst:

Delena Hurst joined the Sanford Law Firm in 2013 after a successful career as a defense attorney for such well-respected firms as Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, PLLC in Little Rock, Arkansas, and DeHay & Elliston, L.L.P in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining the Sanford Law Firm, Ms. Hurst acted as national counsel for one of the world’s largest oil corporations and the largest Fortune 500 retailer. She handled a variety of civil litigation cases, including tort, medical malpractice, insurance, and appeals.

Ms. Hurst practices primarily in the area of employment litigation, focusing on cases arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Ms. Hurst has extensive experience managing cases from inception to trial, mediating cases, and counseling clients. Ms. Hurst’s prior experience working for the defense provides an invaluable resource to our plaintiff-side employment law practice. Ms. Hurst is a member of the American and Arkansas Bar Associations. Additionally, she is a Board Member of the UALR Foundation Fund.

Ms. Hurst lives in Little Rock with her husband, Chris, and their two children, Drew and Alexa. Fluent in conversational Mandarin Chinese, Ms. Hurst enjoys traveling, cycling, scuba diving, and triathlons. Numbered among Ms. Hurst’s amazing feats was her summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, with her husband.
