About Joshua West:

Prior to law school, Mr. West worked for three years as a paralegal with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville, Arkansas, conducting fact investigations and making recommendations on how to resolve problems and complaints presented by both Wal-Mart’s business clients as well as State Attorneys General and the Better Business Bureau. Mr. West also conducted client interviews to identify business objectives and formulated plans to accomplish their business objectives. Mr. West also helped draft warranty policies for the Tire and Lube division, and he regularly reviewed Wal-Mart’s marketing campaigns for legal issues and edited them for compliance with federal advertising regulations.

While attending law school, Mr. West earned seven Top Papers in topics ranging from Constitutional Law and Decedents’ Estates to Real Estate Finance and Family Law. In his final year of law school, Mr. West served as an Associate Notes and Comments Editor for the UALR Law Review, and in the Fall of 2012 the Review published his note, “Heller, McDonald, and State Prohibitions on Concealed Carry in Churches” (online). In the fall of 2011, he served as a judicial extern for Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Robert L. Brown.

Mr. West now brings excellence, attention to detail, and proactive resolution of issues to the Sanford Law Firm. He handles federal and state appeals and primarily practices in employment law (ie. Fair Labor Standards Act).

Mr. West enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca and his two children, Eli and Hannah. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, shooting sports, golf, playing bluegrass music, and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
